Blackbird Records was a DIY label. It managed one single. It issued singles in a BBIRD-0X numerical series. The Orange Lights are a downtempo/indie/rock duo from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The group is composed of vocalist Jason (“Jay”) Hart formerly guitarist in Jason Pierce’s Spiritualized, and you can hear the residual influence in The Orange Lights’ wall of sound. Co-creator of The Orange Lights is Newcastle-based keyboard player and songwriter Paul Tucker who was one-half of Nineties soul group the Lighthouse Family. Distributed By Warner Music Records.
