FUZZPOP
RECORDS
Independent label: Fuzzpop Records was formed in 1999 as a small DIY
record label based in Kent and London. The first release was a 22 track
instrumental surf compilation CD entitled 'When I Grow Up To Be A Man'. This
featured 11 bands each with 2 tracks, and included contemporary bands such as
The Brainwashers right the way down to original 1960s surf bands like The
Knights. It's second release was a 7" vinyl edition of "The Gentleman
Racer EP" by Derby-based instrumental surf band, Aqua Vista. The third release
was the 4 track 7" vinyl "Crime EP" by fellow Derby-based band Twinkie. It's
final release was a 3 track 10" vinyl EP by Stoke / London band Princess
Headbutt. Due to poor distribution by a major player in the industry, coupled
with the fact that they lost money on every release, and the downturn at the
time in vinyl sales, the label decided to call it a day in 2007. It issued
singles in an FUZZPOP-000 numerical series. Fuzzpop Records Former Address:
