Independent label: Jazz Classics Records managed two singles. It issued singles in an JAZZCLASS 45-000 numerical series. Helen Reddy was born in Melbourne, Australia, the daughter of show business parents. In 1966, she won a television talent contest and was on her way to America, in search of fame and fortune. Within a few months, she had met and married an assistant mailroom boy, Jeff Wald, who became her manager. Twenty-seven record labels rejected her material before she was finally signed by Capitol Records in 1970. Patsy Gallant (born August 15, 1948, Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada) is a Canadian pop singer and musical theater actress. Of Acadian ancestry, she has recorded and performed in both English and French. Distributed By Piccadilly Records.
