KABUKIKORE
RECORDS
Independent label: Kabukikore
Records was set up in 2002 as a non-profit label. The style was eclectic - from
pop to improvisation.
The label was run by Simon Williams (aka
Crayola). In 2006, Crayola closed Kabukikore and started Drinkmilk. It
managed at least two singles. It issued singles in an KKSE-00
numerical series. Simon Williams (born January 1970, Stafford) is a
Leicester-based musician and graphic designer. Williams (aka Crayola) currently
fronts the indie pop band Sarandon. In 2002, Williams set up the kabukikore
record label releasing albums by Steve Beresford, I'm Sore, Future Sperm Brasil
and Mugstar amongst others. Each title was released in limited editions of 50
copies in hand-made sleeves. Distributed By Kabukikore Records.
