Edit Crunch Records was a DIY label. It managed one
single. It issued singles in an EC-000 numerical series. Ernie K-Doe, was
an African American R&B singer best known for his 1961 hit single
"Mother-in-Law" which went to No 1 on the Billboard pop chart in the U.S. K-Doe
died in 2001 and, after a traditional jazz funeral, was interred in the
200-year-old Duval tomb in Saint Louis Cemetery No 2, in his native New Orleans.
